hospital accident advice needed

    why do you ask, Brassedoff? don't you believe what the OP said?
    I do NOT want to make a financial claim, just get the incident properly recorded and make sure the people involved are retrained etc.

    Didn't say that did I. I am suing the NHS, twice, retraining would not have re-corrected what happened to me.

    Just sometimes people find will people the people concerned clam up and saying sorry in the eyes of a solicitor is admitting an error.

    Read the O/P's previous posts, I read them on Saturday.

    The O/P of course would not be able to claim anything, not a penny, the claim / complaint if one exists is not for the O/P but for the injured party .. .. her Mother.

    I see. Sorry. I know about the reluctance of people in the NHS to say sorry, but in my experience they stop talking even before a complaint is brought! -- my mother had a bad fall in a hospital and never really recovered from it; a nurse on duty at the time, who witnessed the fall, disappeared, "rotated" to a different ward, and the notes said "Fall. No witnesses to fall", and so on... . So I'm not that convinced it makes that much of a difference.

    I lodged a complaint about my mother's treatment, that's common practice, and accepted. I did it with my mother's consent, indeed, it was what she wanted. (A lawyer told me I wouldn't get anywhere with a legal case, which would have been "her" case, yes. I didn't have the money to ask another lawyers and try to take it further.) Of course I didn't really get anywhere...


    I haven't read the OP's previous posts -- I'll take a look.

    OP, you should, as other posters here have said, first complain, using the hospital's complaints procedure.
