I'm sure this is a really stupid question, but I have been trying to save something and my computer is putting into a temporary folder. Can anyone please tell me where to find this ?

It could be going to a few places, when you save, do you get the option to choose where to save to? Does it say where it is saving to at the bottom of the save to box, has it got an arrow on the right so you can change it.
Have you checked the programme preferences to see where the default save to location is, and if so, can you change it there?
Click start then run, type %TEMP% then click OK for the main temp folder0 -
I have found the temporary folder where it saves Internet downloads, but they're not in there. It doesn't give me an option when saving where to put them, I have saved them as JPG files, but they're not in my pictures folder either. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

Hi, I am not very technical but I used to lose loads of info until I stopped using "save" and swapped to "save as" which allows you to specify where to save these things.
Paul
Ps..Do you know the names of the files. If so try the seach facility which appears when you hoves over the start button ( bottom left of comp).Good luck0 -
choosing 'save as' will open the folder where everything has been saved to, if you havent already changed it.
in addition, if you do a search from the start menu, and search either for; jpeg files, or a timed search in the last day, it will find all files saved or used in that time period.
then you can right click on each file, and choose 'open file location' to find them all!Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,0000 -
Either of the above, or look at the programme preferences as there is usually an option to choose the save to location0

What is your browser? There'll be a way to track it from there.
e.g. Firefox, getting the Downloads window up (e.g. pressing CTRL J), then right click on the download and select 'Open Containing Folder'.0 -
Sorted it thanks. However, new problem is that I want to print onto labels size 55 mm x 22mm but I only have the option to print as a full A4 page. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
