Out of interest, was the little girl reunited with her mother?
Morning runmichellerun,
She was eventually re-united with her mum by phone, after a 2 year gap of not knowing where she was.Her mum spent over £30,000 looking for her.
The childs father promised to bring her home providing he didnt get arrested, everything was sorted but 3 days before she was due back on the plane home,he cut all ties, moved home and her mum never heard from her again.
I cry when I think of this little girls words to her mum on their last phone call, she said "oh mummy Im so happy to be coming home,I dont think I could of lived in this heat any longer" and then he severved all ties:(
We have never given up hope that one they they will both be re-united,she cant be a child forever can she??0 -

About four years ago I was about six months pregnant, still feeling very sick and tired and generally quite fed up. I'd been at a work 'away day' for three days the other side of the country to where I live and all I wanted to do was get home. I arrived at the train station in London to find my train had been cancelled, and I waited for the next one which was hot, smelly and packed, standing room only.
I asked one of the guards on the platform if I could pay to upgrade to first class (I would've done anything to just sit somewhere cool and quiet), and he radio-d the driver and waved me on telling me not to worry about paying. I was so grateful I could've cried. To top it all, the hostesses on the train couldn't have been any kinder, offering me free drinks and food and seeing if I needed anything.. I only had a small glass of water as I hadn't paid for a first class ticket, but I appreciated their kindness no end.Go your own way..

We've been struggling recently to feed our family of four on £25 per week. We just about manage but I worry about not giving the children a balanced diet.
This morning I got to work (I'm a house cleaner) and the lady said the electricity was off. Bearing in mind it was only a temporary issue I started on the dusting and polishing. However she then asked me to go to the garage with her and asked me to load up two bin bags of frozen food for us to take home.
I was gobsmacked and knew she was doing it for us, as the food would have been just fine in there. She insisted as she is going on holiday that it would've gone to waste.
I've been cleaning for her for two years and she has shown us so much kindness. She also has an orchard and asks me to fill bags of fruit to take every week.
Almost in tears as I write this, she has no idea how much she has done for us today.
My own acts recently, I had a voucher for £4 off a £40 shop, which we can't afford to use. I gave it to a woman with three children in the store and she was so grateful.
I also gave some of our free fruit to a woman who'd had her plum tree raided and had none left to pick. She's not a very grateful person and barely said thank you, but I felt good about doing it :-)0 -

Like many others I was keen to learn to drive once I was able. I duly took lessons and eventually got to the point where I could take my test - which was booked for the delightful time of 8.45am one thursday morning. On the Monday of that week, as was my habit, I jumped on the train from London to Reading to attend a speedway meeting. I remember nothing whatsoever about the meeting, but clearly remember the feeling of panic when, on the Tuesday morning, I realised my provisional driving license had vanished.....it must have fallen out of my pocket at some stage the day before - my driving test was just two days away and I had NO way o9f knowing either where I had actually lost it or of getting a replacement in time. I headed off to work in despair, assuming that my test would have to be cancelled. A little later I got a telephone call from my Mum, to say she'd just had a phone call from a lovely lady in Reading who wanted our address to return the license! This lady had found the license lying on the ground at the speedway track, had picked it up and, rather than taking the easy option of simply handing it in to the track the following week, had taken the time and trouble to go through directory enquiries to get my home number. When Mum explained the urgency, and asked if we could drive across that evening to collect it (quite a trip from North East London) she said that there was no need for that, she would pop out straight away and send it to us by special delivery (or whatever the next-day equivalent was then!) which she did. In spite of Mum asking her to enclose her details, she didn't do so, just a little note to say good luck with my test......so I've never been able to thank her. If she's out there somewhere, reading this, I'd just like to thank you for such a fantastic act of kindness - and I passed my test at the first attempt so thank you also for the good wishes!

Last summer my old car overheated in traffic on the M25. While waiting for the breakdown service, a woman leaned out of her window and offered me and my ex some chocolate. A small act of kindness, but really meant a lot to me.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

We all broke our hearts when we heard he had changed his mind and fled his home with this precious child.
One day when she is a little older she will go on to a computer(they have them thankfully in Algerian schools, well some schools anyway)and what do children do once they have grasped the technology of the internet??,they google their own name, all children have done this one time or another.Only then will this precious child see how many people have been fighting to get her back home to her mummy,we have been fighting from day one and the internet will prove this.
She will understand how much her mum,her family, her friends and even complete strangers have been trying to raise awareness to find her.
Please come home soon Nassima, everyone is still missing you and still looking everywhere for you sweetheart.xx0 -
Back in 1995 my ex wife and I were unfortunate that our second son was stillborn. However we were fortunate enough to meet 2 of the kindest, caring nurses ever who made the whole thing that much less painful by showing him the same dignity they would have if he had been alive.
The biggest act of kindness though came from the funeral directors who would not accept a penny from us to bury our son. They were so genuine and caring and wanted us to be able to say goodbye to him without the financial burden. I will always be grateful to all those involved and will hold them in high regard for their act of kindness and generosity. Even when it came time to get a headstone they would only accept a payment of the cost price as they didn't want to make a profit. Restores your faith in human nature that there truly are people out there that don't want to profit from other people's pain0
