I wonder if there was not so many PI claims, fake accidents would affect the insurance premiums of today.
The more you read the board things over the years have become the above, you used to have a bump the car got paid no one even bothered about fake whiplash claims which cant be proved.
Would be very intresting to know, whats others views?

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Whilst you have people quickly accusing insurers as being greedy. You have to remember that most consumers are too. So, we are getting the premiums that we deserve because eight out ten people think it is acceptable to defraud insurance companies.
Whilst its really unfair on the honest people, the insurers are stuck between a rock and a hard place. If they fight the cases, it costs them more than settling. If they settle cases, then it encourages more fraud and try-it-on cases.
Personally, I see no solution without cost.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Perhaps people who fake insurance claims should get more severe penalties that currently.
Also, I get pestered by companies trying to encourage me to claim about a bump I had in my work van 2 years ago. It was low speed, no injury at all and I still get calls says I can claim. These people should be jailed, or at least banned from their profession.0

Yeah they should I agree, people think oh we are getting free money at no cost but they are not as insurance has risen so high thats another reason on forms they ask if anyone was injured in crash claims.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. Perhaps, just perhaps, this constant drive to "be the cheapest" and come out on top of comparison searches just wasn't sustainable in the long run?
The collapse of the financial markets has as much to do with the increase in insurance premiums as PI claims, fraudulent claims and uninsured drivers.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. price has always been a factor with brokers, which you see less of. With the internet prices should be less.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. PI claims have ballooned in recent years, both in terms of numbers and average claim size. Jailing those who stage accidents and banning referral fees would do much to sort this out!0

If you take my situation, I live in a high risk postcode, have no garage or driveway (and the landlord won't let me convert the front garden to a driveway). My insurance is over £1500 a year.
If I put my parents address as where the car is kept overnight, then the premium drops to £700 - a saving of almost £1000. Needless to say, I tell the truth and pay for it. Measures such as adding another driver or installing a Thatcham car alarm, job tweeking (can't really do it for mine) reduces the insurance by about £50 a year.
So when I see people who rip off insurers (and other drivers) it makes me angry. But part of me is jealous because I sometimes wish I had the same lack of scruples.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I asked about fitting a trracker to our new 11 plate car, it costs £300 and £150 a year. I was told it would not lower my insurace any at all.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it.
