Hi, I need some advice.
My LL sent someone round to sort out guttering. They put up scaffolding at the back of the house, fixed it, packed up and went. They have knocked my Sky dish out of allignment.
Called the guy who done it and he denying it saying that he didn't touch it.
Its now going to cost me £65 for a Sky engineer. Anything I can do or am I stuck with the bill?
TIA

Borrow a ladder from a neighbour. If it was just knocked a bit one way, it'll just need knocking a bit the other way.0

Tried it, didn't work0

You could speak to your LL, but if its your word against the workman its very difficult to prove.
However, you do not need to call an "extortionately priced" Sky engineer - any local independent TV aerial installer with an ounce of knowledge will have a satellite signal meter and be able to get your dish back in the right place, probably for a fraction of the price. You can even buy a meter yourself from eBay for less than a tenner!0 -
When do you ever call anyone out to do anything and it costs less than fifty quid?0

Who had the Sky dish installed?? i,e, if it came with the place & is on the inventory then it's for the LL to fix.
If you've had it installed at your expense then I fear you'll have difficultly getting LL or workperson to pay. Sorry, sh*t happens...0 -
