I did my normal weekly shopping in Tesco today and noticed that they had some large Gammons reduced, so I thought I would have a wander around for a little and come back later to see if they would be reduced anymore.

I came back about 15 mins later and saw one of the ladies that work for tesco reducing some and taking the larger ones away. I decided to have 3 1.3kg unsmoked joints reduced from £13.99 to £2.80 and then the woman came back with the larger gammon so I decided to have a 6kg reduced from £15.50 to £3. But the best thing was when I got to the checkout, I did't realise that the large gammon was on offer buy 1 save £8 so when the woman at the check out scanned the gammon it took £8 off my final shopping bill meaning it payed for itself and nearly two of the other gammons.

I was very happy as money has been short since xmas and it being my daughters first birthday today didnt help either so any bargains or freebies are a bonus

What area is your local tesco ?
We went to Great Yarmouth at about 17:30 christmas eve and there was hardly anything, best bargain was probably spring onions for 25p.

Still nothing lower than half price after chistmas really ?

They were just reducing the christmas stuff again in Swansea - I had 4 metre rolls of wrapping paper for 44p each, 2m rolls of extra special gold paper at 55p each and flower-shaped walkie talkies for £2.50 (was £10), and mini crackers with gift and sparkler for £1.60 (from £6 I think). There were other paper, crackers, cards etc as well.
  • Had lovely pink christmas wrapping paper 10m for 24p today in Aberdare tescos. They also had a box of dark after eights for only 57p the date is for Aug 2008 so great for Mothers day and Easter.
  • In store this morning pack of 8 rolls of clear tape (cellotape) only 1p per pack!! Rolls are 19mm x 25m - barcode 5051140839932. 1p price shown on SEL.
