Popped into my local express for some boyish wrapping paper. Picked up one of their packs of two sheets with 2 matching tags. No price displayed but only charged 57p - I'm sure these are well over a sqid or even more (if someone can tell me displayed price I would be interested to know)I went back in and picked up girlie design this time - same price. This must be a bargain so fill your boots.
Sorry not a DTD item but worth a shout I thought!!
  • Got loads more Jammie Dodgers ( vanilla thrillers ) for 11p this evening.
  • sorry this is not the exact place to post my query but i need some advice from you tesco specialists
i got 4 items from the reduced section last night and when i got home checked the dates and they where out of date 15/6
i am sure it is not allowed to sell anything after it goes out of date

I was told by a sales assistant in Tesco the other day who was reducing vegetables, that I could not have the ones in the bottom half of the trolley as they were out of date and he was not allowed to sell them. So it is against Tesco policy and I think, against the law too.

Can you be more precise in what you mean by "out of date" is it "best before" "use by" "display until"?

In that case I believe they are within the letter of the law, but outside the spirit of it if you see what I mean.

    Correct.

Reduction cabinet was probably not cleared down when it should have been.
