Whcih camera advice

hello all,
I have a Panasonic TZ Lumix 7 which takes very good pictures, however it has developed a fault and Im getting a refund (rather than replacement) since they are discontinued. I would not hesitate buying another Panasonic however the only downside for me is that the format it saves the movies on are not 'compatible' with Macs. It can be done but is not easy/straight forward.
If there is another equally good camera that makes it easier viewing /editing movies on Macs I would consider it.
If not what camera would be worth upgrading to after the TZ7. I do like taking pics but dont want to go OTT with the replacement.
