Car finance not happy

Most motor mechanics would agree with the fact that running on the dregs of the fuel tank is really not a good idea - ideally a half-full tank will avoid rust and other particles from being pumped into the fuel system from the depths of the tank and avoid damage to the catalysts. Putting in a fiver or tenner a day and driving it out is not recommended and will have a negative impact on the fuel consumption as well as potentially risk damage to the cats or fuel feed problems. Its best to try to budget for filling up with say £30 once a week than a fiver or tenner a day and trying to keep the fuel levels between quarter and half and away from the fuel light being on constantly.
Doesn't solve OPs problem, though......I would try to persuade the dealer to help or be reasonable and re-arrange finance via the same finance house if OP is set on changing the car.0
