Cheaper Gas and Electricity Tariffs using USwitch
I am starting this thread as I have really got a good deal from using uswitch to set it up and found no problems. I really did not go for the offers (see them really there, just to catch your attention) but was in event looking for a good deal on a fixed price for the next 3 years. In event got EDF from switching from Scottish Power with EDF not raising there prices then along with the rest of the market.
The tariff in my case was fairly good, as I am a medium to higher user. You need to know your last annual useage in order to locate the best deal. If you take this option do have this information at the ready.
For the low user NPower did prove to be hard to beat, but recently their prices also went up, so this would need checking too.
There is no cost to use the service, the agreed price is locked down at point of switch - so best of luck - you will save.

Would expect most people here to use the Utilities Tab at the top of the MSE page and to then get cashback via the link.

Thanks mjmal51 as you probably realise I am just reg today and finding my way on site. Will do this in future as I do have a lot of info on consumer issues that I would like to contribute too. Cheers pal you are a star.
