Quick question - foundation course leading to degree

Hello everyone.
Having a bit of a stress at the moment as my son didn't get enough points to get onto his favoured course at the University of choice. He is dead set on going there even though he has been accepted by his insurance Uni.
He's managed to find a way in - he can apply via clearing to do a Technology foundation year long course and on completion of this he can carry on to do the Degree course he originally wanted to do.
My questions are these:
Will he get funding for all 4 years? (We already have application with SLC in the very slow pipeline!)
If he starts this year, will the fees still stay the same for the 4 years or will the fact that he is doing a foundation and then a degree mean that the fees will go up when he starts his degree?
Thanks for any advice you can give. I'm sure this information is probably out there somewhere but my brain is goo right now

Can you post a link to the course? I'll check it's designated.0

Thanks Taiko

Here's the link (I hope):

Course is designated, so that's ok.
Funding will be the length of the course plus one year, minus any years of previous degree level study. So perfectly ok for support for the full duration, and an extra year if he has to repeat.0 -
Thanks again Taiko, that's a weight of our minds!
Just to confirm on my second question, would he stick to the same tuition fees thoughout? I didn't know whether the moving from Foundation to degree would make a difference or whether it would be considered as continuous.0 -

I believe it's when you start, so as long as you (or your son or whatever), go for the 4 year course, it'll be the lower throughout.0 -

Thanks both for your speedy replies - my mind has been put at rest
although I'm sure my son will find something else to stress me out about soon :rotfl: 0 -
If he does, just kill him with fire. Solves everything.0
