Just completed IVA but ex creditors chasing me

My Fiance has just finished IVA after paying off for 5 years - last night we applied to credit expert to see his file and it is ok considering (no defaults etc). However, Lowell portfoillio have now started chasing him for a very old debt over 6 years old - my fiance thinks it may ever be older as he did not know about it and said he would have added it to IVA had he known about it. Funny thing is, this debt is not on his creditfile although there are a number of searches on his file by Lowell - so confused, can anyone help

if this si so old that it was not even in the IVA, then unless there is a CCJ against it, it is statute barred. Go over to the debt free forum for advice.

Lowell are well known for this.

Even if there is a CCJ (and a recent one would be on the credit record), if the CCJ has not been enforced in 6 years, they need to go to court and explain why they did not enforce it previously. Chances of getting eprmission to pursue virtually nil.
