Deposit Protection Service

I thought I would give a 'heads up' to anyone using the DPS.

We have just bought our rented property and have been waiting to get our full deposit back.

The LA said we would receive notification from the DPS so that we could verify the amount of repayment. Well, we waited and waited.

Today I telephoned the DPS to be told that an email had been sent but it had probably gone into the Spam box!

Fortunately, the girl at DPS was extremely helpful and it is now sorted, but thought I would let you know that if you are in this position you need to check your Spam box.

What a crazy system!

There's not much the TDS can do if your email provide filters their email into spam ... I'd say you're pretty lucky that you spoke to someone who was switched on enough to suggest you check there.

I check my spam box sporadically, and quite often find non-spam there. It's an unfortunate and inevitable consequence of spammers upping their game and making their spam more advanced - the email providers make their filters more aggressive, and some genuine emails get caught by it.

For one of my eBay accounts, all the emails go into my spam for some reason. Can't figure out how to stop it!
