NVQ level 3 for mature student-financial help?

I was hoping someone may be able to help me as I am getting confused. A lot of things on the internet seem to be aimed at young students doing their first degree and I am finding it hard to see anything that applies to me.
I am 25 (soon to be 26) and I am quitting full time work to start my NVQ level 3 in Beauty therapy. I have interviews with 2 colleges in the next couple of weeks.
I am going to be working around 30 hours per week alongside the course (bringing in about £600pm) which will cover my rent and bills-but will leave me nothing for food and travel.,. I live alone and have no other financial support (from partner or benefits etc)
I am hoping someone may be able to help point me in the direction of any grants etc I may be entitled too. Does the adult learning grant still exist?
Thank you in advance

If you are working for at least 30 hours per week you should be able to apply for working tax credit. You might also be eligible for help with your rent and council tax. Put your income into

which will give you an approximate idea.0
