Hi Folks
I have an interview coming up in the next few days. In the interview, I will be asked to name some best known/large companies/businesses which have branches dotted around the UK.
Would that information be available on the internet? If so, can you suggest any websites?
Thanks in advance for your response.
for prosperity, can i just ask OP do you know for sure you will be asked "to name some best known/large companies/businesses which have branches dotted around the UK."
have you been told this question would be asked ?
Im just trying to figure out why 1 would be asked this kind of question ? I can understand if you were asked to name some competitiors within the area.
And
What kind of job or firm is the interview with ?0 -
OP, do as saintjammy swine advised. Look at your local high street. That will help you identify chain stores / businesses that you know have other premises / branches around the UK.
You must, surely, be able to list some banks and high street retailers that are UK wide? That's all the question's asking.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Hi
I am very sorry for that comment saintjammyswine. I misunderstood you.
It is companies like that you have just listed - Argos etc, that I am look for.
Could you be kind enough to offer more examples or is there a website that could give me that info?
Thanks in advance for you response
Honestly - you do not need help with this. If you have been told that you have this question in the interview then you need to look at it in the context of the job role as I have previously mentioned. It will be no good just quoting names of companies that other people have mentioned on the internet; get out and do some of your own research. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

I'm not really sure what you need. I can't simply reel off a list of national companies, where would I start/end? As I said, just look at your local high street/shopping centre, they are all much the same and unless you are in deepest Cotswalds most of them will be national chains.0 -
