I don't have a micro filter in the bedroom - just in the living room where the computer router is plugged in. I'll sort it straight away - thank you for your advice, much appreciated.

Thanks, JasX. I appreciate all the advice. Because everything seems to be all right I'll make sure I get a micro filter for the bedroom corded 'phone socket and hope that the problem does not recur.
