Hi where's the best place to buy a domain name + build a website? About 500mb webspace or more would be ideal. Saw a really good deal at chillydomains.com where I get 500mb for £28.66 but having never used them before not sure if they are good or not. Thanks in advance for any advice.

500mb is a lot of space for a basic site (assuming your new to all this), what do you plan to put on it?
I've never used that company before, I personally use http://www.dc-hosting.com, might not be as cheap, but I do know their support is excellent.0 -

Godaddy.com for me.0 -
ukhost4u were good for me, nice control panel with lots of template software you can install straight off (like forums, wikis, albums) so you can be up and running with quite a cool site quite quickly.0

Yeah I use GoDaddy too. Had read a few bad things about them, but they've actually been very good. Speeds are great, and they offer all the services I need. Very good value so far.
Only dilemma will be when I need phone support (but I haven't yet with any hosting). Actually one annoyance I found, you can't transfer .co.uk domains to them. You can buy them there no problem, just not transfer an existing one."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
https://www.dataflame.co.uk for hosting
https://www.123-reg.co.uk for the domain
500mb is a very big amount of space, not an issue given how much hosts give you these days as hard drives are so cheap but it does be the question of what you are doingAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

I can only say that I use http://www.betterwebspace.com myself.
Good support when needed. Fully-featured C-panel with all the usual extras. Not expensive. Quite reliable.0 -
How do you go about setting up your own website for a small business selling books?
I want to have my own domain name also.
Do you have to pay a monthly fee? Or is there just a one off charge for every two years?
Thanks guys:-)0 -
I have heard that 123 reg were good, but i just need a bit more information or even a guide to the right sites I should be going to to get this info.
Its probably a bit more complicated being a small business website
