help computer gone mad

My computer would not connect to the internet because of the google toolbar so I deleted this and rebooted the computer. All my settings on my computer changed the screensaver back to the old one etc. When I try to use system restore it doesnt open anymore and also broadband medic doesnt load anymore can anyone help

    my windows will not update now as well it keeps saying this version of windows is no longer up to date, It will not let me update it either and there is a ticking noise coming from the computer now as well helpppppp

    Sounds like the hard disk is terminal, try running chkdsk/ f from a command prompt and see what gets reported, the ticking sound is a classic symptom of a mechanical problem with the hard disk

    It does sound like the hard drive is dying or has died. DO NOT RUN CHECKDISK!! This in certain circumstances can help, but in this situation it has the potential to delete data. I work for a data recovery company and see this day in day out. If you need any help please PM me and i'll see what i can do.
