  • I am not sure that MPs will take up the baton. I expect a lot of cloned replies from our beloved masters with a lot of BPA spin much like the 'impartial' guff handed out by CAB. Expect such BS about rigorous appeals procedures and vetting procedures to get a better class of scammer. I believe that the press could help convince the ruling class that votes could be at stake. Of course, nothing is lost by approaching the press and contacting MPs. Perhaps we need a sticky with the replies from MPs and we can see if they are cloned.

Unfortunately I tend towards the same view but if we don't try any moves for judicial review post-enactment are more likely to fail.

The real joke is that the parliamentary legislative impact assessment is riddled with words like "parity" and "equivalence" with constant reference to civil enforcement procedures.

The issue is that so long as civil enforcement applies sanctions that find their way into public coffers and has always seen the enforcement of the statute law there can never be any form of equivalence with private enforcement which applies arbitrary sanctions based on vague interpretations of selected aspects of case law solely for private enrichment.

Whoever penned that impact assessment appears not to have had their feet in contact with solid earth for some time. Probably because a certain facial protuberance of World PPC was firmly - and some distance - up their rear end.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
