Bright Grey "plan charge"

I'm currently researching life policies, and have noticed that the Bright Grey personalised illustration includes a monthly payment for life cover, and a monthly payment for the plan charge.

It says the life cover payment is guaranteed, but doesn't mention whether the "plan charge" is. Other providers seem to just list a single charge.

Does anyone know if the Bright Grey "plan charge" can change (i.e. is it guaranteed, along with the monthly premium)?

The plan charge will remain the same throughout the policy.
All or most insurers have a policy fee, some dont show it as a seperate fee - some do.

I wouldnt worry about that too much its usually around £2-3 per month.

Bright Grey is a "menu" product. So, its just one plan charge irrespective of how many segments of cover you take out under that policy.

Dont focus on the charge. As ACG says, they all have it somewhere. Either hidden in the premium or showing explicitly. Look at the cover and then look at value for money.

FWIW Bright Grey is one of the few companies I'd use for my personal cover.

    Many thanks for the replies.

I emailed Bright Grey around the same time I posted this thread, and has a response early this morning which confirmed this.

It's worth quite a lot to be honest, to hear it from someone in the profession.

Am now just trying to compare it alongside two other (slightly more expensive) quotes before committing to buying.

    Many thanks again.

TBH mate, if it's just life cover you're probably ok with the cheapest.

I have combined life and critical illness cover and I have it with one of the Defaqto 5 star companies - Scot Prov. Others include L&G, Bright Grey, Friends Life (Axa), LV and a few others.

The Defaqto site is good for other types of insurance too.
