    Get in touch with your creditors and explain the situation, maybe request a repayment holiday. ie - a break in payment for a couple of months till you get back on your feet so to speak.

    Contact the CCCS (link at top of page) on Monday and let them take the strain.
    This time last year I wanted to end it all because of my our debt. It hasn't been easy but we had a good MSE Christmas and I am now looking forward to the future.

    Thanks for the kind words..

    Doing a statement of affairs tonight as i need to open some post and want children in bed when i do that!...

    I have found out that my local CAB have a debt counsellor on a Wed afternoon and as Rob (my partner) is off then i will go this Wed nd see what they say...does anyone have any idea what i should take with me..

    I do know i owe the following

    Capital one 2085.00
    lloyds visa 1450.00
    ge capital 850.00
    (store card)
    bank loan 800.00 only 10 more pyments left so not worried about that

    total 5185.00

    will get back later a dirty nappy has my name on it!!

    If your income has taken a dive have you checked you are getting all the cash you are entitled to. Try https://www.entitledto.com . Make sure that the Child Tax Credit people have up to date info - esp new addition and lower income. They stop your money quickly if they are overpaying you so perhaps an enquiry might be a good idea if you think they are underpaying.
    I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

    Yes bizzi mum done that as we were getting tax credit before we also got tje 500.00 grant...thanks for the input i have started that spend diary today and so far i am on 0 lol...as its football lessons this afternoon that will go to aprox 4 pounds for my son but that in theory will be it for todays total spen ...as someone on here has suggested i am giving up fizzy drinks so that will save some more ...it isnt to you see what a can of pop and a warm sausage roll costs ove the year you realisehow much yourspending

    ie

    60p sausage roll
    50p pop
    1.10 5 days a week

    thats a amazing 286.00 a year and yet seems like nothing my god why has it taken so long for me to see the light
