  • Thank you everyone for the support and nice comments....

We went and sat down with the owner of the venue and she has said she was in the wrong to put the price's up that much without ringing us within the 8 months we have had it booked for. She has agreed to give us the food at the original price that was stated on our menu she gave us and all we need to pay extra is £45, which I agree to that amount, because VAT has increased and we do recognise that. I am now happy and we are due to go and see her in September again to go over everything. This time she has gave us a written invoice.

The stress has now gone away and I am much happier. As for the comment on us getting married on a 'Shoestring' I agree with what other people have said, we love each other so much and yes we have only spent £4000 on this wedding, which is our budget and therefore we did not want to go over that as we have done it out of our own savings, thank you very much.

glad to hear that all has sorted itself out :)

Sometimes these things are best sorted face to face over a drink rather than over the phone or email!
