Hi,
I posted a cheque into HSBC on wednesday before 15.30 so it would be processed on the same day, the monies have been in my account but not available to use.
i know it takes 3 days for cheques to clear but do i count wednesday as a day or will it clear into my account on monday instead of tomorrow ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I was told when paying in a cheque to Nat West that it takes 5 working days (not including Saturday and Sunday). If HSBC are the same, then it will be Tuesday when the funds have cleared. Apologies if HSBC are different.

2 - 4 - 6 will be clear end of day four. Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0

2 days before earning interest, 4 days before funds withdrawal at ATM(or POS at retailers), this is at yr own discretion, 6 days before cq cleared & cannot be returned0

It will show in your account as available money tomorrow. However the cheque can still be returned, so if the cheque bounces after you have spent the money you will owe them (and it could take you into unauthorised overdraft, costing you charges).0

For HSBC it takes 3 days not including the day that you pay in. So you can draw on the funds on monday if you paid them in on wednesday.0
