How long does the Ebay resolution centre take?

Options
I am currently in my first ever dispute and it was escalated to the resolution centre for a final decision last Thursday as the seller is unwilling to accept a return ( item is in far worse condition than described).

The help pages say ideally 48 hours but up to 72 hous but it is now well past that and other than a standard "we need more time" after 2 days the silence is deafening!

How long does it typically take and is there anyway I can contact them to see what is happening?

With ebay there is no fixed time limit, despite what they say!

However, on the plus side, they sometimes give 'no fault refunds' if cases are a little protracted. It may be the delay is for someone further up the foodchain to say yes or no to you.

You could try giving them a call (not livechat they are useless). Good luck.
  • Ebay can take as long as they like
normally what they tell you to do is send the item back RECORDED delivery so you have tracked evidence.

Last time i was sent a pre paid label, i just printed it off and took it to post office, delivery was free!

    good luck

    Thanks onlywayis up and single_lonely

Finally heard from eBay. They have found in my favour and I'll be returning the bag tomorrow by Special Delivery as eBay have paid $10 towards the postage. The bag was too expensive to entrust to Recorded Delivery.
