Thank you all so much. Yes I am delighted with my new kitchen and it was very good of my Joiner to bring me this product. I am going on holiday and by the time I get home the glass upstands and splashbacks will be ready for fitting. I have been very brave colour wise but my gut instinct tells me I should be.
    Have a good weekend everybody!

Hi again sorry to come back with yet another query. My tiles were grouted on Thursday and it is a black grout. I noted that when I was washed the floor yesterday that the cloth etc had a lot of black staining on it. Also noted that the area of carpet immediately by the kitchen door has got grey black marks on it.
I have just washed my floor again just now and the black colour continues to come off on to the cloth or even when I rub my finger on the grout it is black. Does it simply need to dry out or is there some other problem. I noticed that the grout when being applied was pretty wet but looks good.
Do I have a problem? If I have I am sure that the person who did the tiling will sort it our without a problem. He is actually a Joiner but says he has laid a lot of floors. I ama going on holiday for 2 weeks on Monday so will leave it until I get back as this will have given it time to set properly. If the grout needs to be replaced would that be a large job and would there be any implications for the actual tiles.
Sorry to be asking these questions but I do value and appreciate your advice.

    hi sue,
there wil be a residue left on the tiles and black is a bloody nightmare colour of grout.
you need to start in one end of the room with a bucket clean water or better still rinse the sponge under the tap after each 2 wipes.
lay the clean sponge flat on the tiles and apply a small amount of pressure but keep the sponge flat, sweep it either across or towards you about 3 foot a time in one sweep, turn th sponge over and repeat.
then clean the sponge and keep doing this and work you way out the room.
the problem your getting is your water has left a residue because your sponge and water are not clean enough.
you could now that the grout is dry use a dry cloth and dust them clean working backwards and bringing the dust with you.
this is always worse with black grout, i hate using it.
antmore questios pop back and ask.
oh you really should try to gt the residue off before you go on holiday.
    NO SOAP WITH THIS BIT.
