telewest remote code

Hi,
My telewest remote finally gave up after years of use and they've sent me a new one. It's silver though, not black like my other. They said they dont do the black ones anymore.

The problem is I cant adjust the volume with it as the code for my tv isnt in the book they sent with the handset. I telephoned them and they tried to find a code on the internet for my tv....without success. I said I may as well look myself.

It's a Technosonic tv, 2 years old. I cant find any info on their own website either about codes that I can try. Is Techonosonic made by someone else who might have a listed code. It's a pain having to keep changing remotes just to adjust the volume.

Sorry, i dont understand what you mean by 'train' the handset.

We looked on the telewest menu for codes for the tv and its not listed. I have to use the tv remote to adjust the volume.

Telewest said they dont have a code for my tv. Technosonic say that they dont do codes, tv companies do that  or words to that effect (on their website)

    From another site try Thomson codes. Try 0653 0363 0137 0224 0371 0065 or 0377

Hope this helps. Took me ages to find a Samsung one that worked so i know how you feel.
