Help with pc needed please

Can someone help me, i am a complete technophobe, and don't really understand computers. When i switch on my pc this message appears-

CMOS CHECK SUM ERROR, DEFAULTS LOADED WARNING CPU OR HW FREQUENCY SETTING IS CHANGED. PLEASE RE ENTER AND SAVE THE CPU SPEED/RATIO IN SET UP.

What does this mean, and how do i fix it,

If your PC is 4-5 years old, it probably means that your cmos battery is dying, about £3 from currys, or 99p from the web + p&p

the motherboard battery could be flat. How old is the computer?

The computer is about 5 years old, are the batteries easy to change?

If it's a PC, and looks like the one in the picture, yes.. Turn PC off, remove cover, prize the battery out with a small screwdriver (see arrow in pic, that's where you stick the screwdriver), take it to shop to make sure you get the correct voltage and size .. they are usually 3V
