Company Insolvent, Statutory Redundancy and Claims to the Administrator

Hi there,

The company I worked with for 8 years went into insolvency recently, and I wanted to know what I can claim.

I have already received confirmation that I will be receiving the relevant statutory redundancy payment from the Govt Insolvency Service, capped at £400 a week for each year I worked.

Am I able to claim anything else via the administrators?

A colleague suggested we claim the unpaid wages and the contractual redundancy pay, 1 weeks pay for each year worked, from them. Will they accept that or will they ignore it? If yes, do I just write to the administrators with my request?

Also, I've checked all the insurances I have (car, home, credit card) and I don't think I can claim any lost income from them as I had not taken out any PPI cover.

Also, is there anything else I can look into that I may have missed above?

The government will pay the statutory redundancy payment which you have already acknowledged they are going to pay. You can claim for unpaid wages and outstanding holiday pay.
