refused by LLOYDS TSB help!!!

hello.. rite i complained to lloyds about ppi i had on a loan i took out in 2004 and have just received a letter saying in their opinion it wasnt miss sold. my main complaint was that i told them at the time i didnt want ppi as i get 6 months full sick pay but was told because of the size of the loan i would need to have it or wont be successful in getting the loan. i have spoken to them since and the ombudsman so will be filling in the forms and sending them to the onbudsman. is there anything i should know or be aware about by doing this in advance. any help much appreciated thanks.

Hi there

Sorry to hear this, did they give any detailed explanation on why they rejected your complaint?

If not I would write back and ask them for the explanation.

If this wasn't the final decision then you do have the opportunity to write to them again and ask them to reconsider, tell them you don't feel your complaint has been investigated properly and you are asking if they can reconsider.
Tell them you had no choice when you taken out the loan, and was told you had to take it out because the size of it, also despite making them aware you already had employer cover in place.
It maybe worth a shot anyway, by asking them to let you know in 14 days if they will reconsider, and then tell them if you hear nothing by then you will continue to complain to the FOS with the reasons you have.

Its up to you of course, you can do this by emailing the CEO and the Customer team the same time.

customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

When did you put this complaint in? Thanks.

It is known they can sometimes change their mind, also on a final decision, as said above its up to you of course if you feel the complaint have been overlooked and you don't feel they've taken in your reasons into consideration, give them a further 14 days, (maybe you should mention that you are also in mind of contacting the FSA about this), this may change the decision.
So annoying especially after waiting 3 months!
