Claiming on travel insurance

Hi, I am submitting a claim (for a stolen wallet and cash) while on holiday. The claim form (from a company called 'One Claims', part of the ONE group)asks me to includedetails of my Household insurer as, according to One Claims, 'insurers contribute to the settlement of each other's claims' helping to keep costs and premiums down. All well and good, but will I find that my household insurance premium goes up at renewal because I now havea claim history on this policy as well? Thanks for your thoughts and experiences on this.

From experience, holiday insurance companies will always try and get you to claim off your household insurance if cover is in place. What I suspect is that if you provide details of your household insurance they will contact them to see if you are covered under that policy. If you are they will get you to claim off that.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
