Issues with landlord

We've done it all through an estate agent, and that's who we pay as well. Her address on the agreement is in England, but every time I've spoken to the EA they have said she's out of the country so it might take a while for a response... we only moved in three weeks ago but I'd rather get everything sorted out now, and if it won't be, WE can make use of the break out clause to find somewhere more suited to our needs. I have told them that if all this had been made clear in the beginning, we wouldn't have taken it on... I guess you live and learn, I've owned and rented through housing association but never privately rented before. We did ask what was being left behind and about access to the garage and got told a completely different story before we started the process
