I just rang the advice line on the link above and explained the situation and they said I have to get a statutory declaration form from a solicitor and fill it in and send it off with the application. It basically means i swear on oath that I have always been known by this name. Also the section about my parents, they said fill in their names (which I know as they are on birth certificate) and write that I dont know any other info about them as I never knew them and apparently that will be fine as my date of birth makes me a british citizen anyway so they dont need anymore details about parents. So now i need to change all my stuff over to married name and get in touch with a soliciotor. Good job we're not planning on going till next year hehe. Thanks for all your help

This isn't a criticism, I'm just curious, but you say you've been married for 3 years, so what have you been calling yourself all that time? Are you saying you haven't been using the name Mrs XXX?I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this
Use your imagination, or you can borrow mine!0 -
