I bought a secondhand laptop which i thought my boyfriend could fix..the owner had taken it to a shop to repair and had said the powerboard had failed. he decided to get a new laptop and sold me this one.
i got a new powerboard , boyfriend fitted it , but it recognises the battery but not the power adaptor. i cant put windows on and battery now has little charge in.
seems like it wasn't a good bargain as i had originally thought.:(
any ideas what i can do????
thanks!

Is it the right adapter, i.e. the correct voltage? Just because it fits the socket, doesn't mean it's the right adapter.0
