Lexmark printer problem

I have a LEXMARK X1180 scanner / printer
Problem is that if I scan a document manually using the buttons on the scanner it goes through all the motions and sounds as if it is printing but the paper comes out blank. If I go through the pc and scan it will print fine,but again if I choose to print anything from the pc without scanning the same happens. Any ideas?

Very odd. Have you tried updating the printer's firmware?0

Lexmark have great support people. You can contact them online (no charge) and they will talk you through any problems with their printers
I have used them twice and they resolved the problems that I hadNot Rachmaninov
