Alarm system removal

I have an old house alarm that the last owner installed.

I am now decorating the hallway and need this horrible box and wires out the way.

The last owner left me a manual (a pile of photocopies)

I cant really make heads nor tails of it.

What i want to do is turn off the sirens so i can remove the box from the wall and rip out all the wiring until i can re-home it somewhere more discreet.

The alarm is a Friedland pa4 (according to the manual)
Would i also need to remove batteries on exterior siren?

I hope theres an alarm guru here somewhere :P Dont fancy paying.
