Hi there,
We are starting to put our budget together and I would be grateful if you could let me know how much you are paying for your DJ. If you can specify if its the venue's own or not, or mates rates that would also be useful.
Many Thanks

I googled DJ and the post code of my venue - then contacted everyone who came up to see who was available on my date and just went with the cheapest. He has good reviews but not a fancy website - which must be one of the reasons he can keep his prices down!Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93

Were having our own, venue wanted £250 so we got one for £200,he will entertain the kids, bring glowsticks thats from 7-12 aswell and we meet with him before the day to discuss what songs we want played and what type of music0

I shopped around for our dj and actually went for the most expensive (because we want someone who will play exactly what we want and will have confidence in playing exactly the type of music we want) but I had quotes for £180, £225 and £250, and if I hadnt gone for the one I went for I would have gone for the £180 dj. Prices vary so much its definately worth shopping about.
I think the venue dj would have been very reasonable, but Im using the same venue as my mums cousin and she had the venue dj so I didnt want it to seem like I copied everything she did.0 -
We paid £200 for our DJ, from 7pm till 1am, venue wanted £300, but charged £50 (non negotiable) if we wanted to bring our own, and he had to provide a PAT certificate and liability insurance.
We chose him on a friends recommendation
Some were nearly £500, but that included extra's like flame lights, confetti cannons, bubble machines, dry ice and laser shows, but our venue wouldn't allow bubble's or dry ice in case it damaged their floor.:j baby lauren born 06/01/2011 + got married 02/07/2011 :j0 -
