wondering if you experts could assist me... im currently with EON for my gas and electricity...

i need someone to help me calculate the bill from 1 reading to another...

for example... the reason is because they've always had estimate readings for both gas and elec and when i give the actual reading i dont want a big shock of a bill...

is it possible for someone to calculate this?

Hi akhlaq768,

When was the last time your account was billed to an accurate reading? how long has the account been estimated for?

If you have got up to date readings, the best thing to do is to give these to us to ensure we bill you up to date.

We would back out (or cancel) the estimated bills and re-bil your account from the accurate read to the up to date accurate read, this will then pick up any price changes or tariff changes.

Have you changed tariff's within this time?

If you want me to take a look at your account and get this billed for you, you can send me your details to WebForumAdisors@eonenergy.com and I will help you.

It's simple for you to cacullate yourself. Deduct the estimated reading from the actual reading to give the overuse, that's the additional units you'll have to pay for.
Then work out the total costs based on EON's unit rates.
For electricity, a meter unit is the same as a billing unit-a kWh.
For gas, you'll need to convert from meter units (either 100's cu ft or cu m, depending on whether your meter is imperial or metric) to kWh, using the appropriate conversion factor, which is shown on your bills.
Or you could just use a comp site, putting in the 2 different consumption levels (estimated and actual), and comparing the difference.

I have deducted the estimate read from the actual read and have overused...

3624 for Electricity
1070 for Gas

What would be my bill for both?

I'm on the Eon EnergyPlan

Thanks

No one can tell you that precisely, because the electricity rate depends on your region.
But broadly speaking, electricity is around 10p per kWh and gas around 3.5p per kWh-so you are looking at a bill of around £400.
If you put your tariff and figs into any comp site it will do the calculations for you.

Any of the recommended comp sites on the main board, such as energyhelpline, uswitch etc.

Did you actually read Eon Helena's response to your previous post?

Also, as macman says, you are looking at paying about £400 more

I don't think you are trying very hard.
Put your tariff and overusage kWh figures into any comp site as annual consumption, and that will give you the annual cost of that tariff. Deduct any standing charges already paid (shown in the tariff details), and that will be your approximate arrears-which as already advised, will be in the region of £400.
Or why not just contact your supplier with an actual meter reading and get a revised bill, since we've already ensured that you won't be getting any surprises on the bill...the arrears will be around £400.
