Co-op current accounts accessible in Britannia Branches

Still low key (September publicity in hand) but Co-op current account customers can now transact on their accounts in Britannia branches. Basically it is the service available in Post Office branches i.e. deposit cash for instant credit, withdraw cash, both using card PIN machine, deposit cheques using the envelope facility. Ditto for any savings account with a card. Also can do things like open new current accounts, set up standing orders, change address.

That's good. I was only looking, the other day, on Smile's website to see if there were any updates on this. It just stated that they were in the process, or words to that effect.
I do have a Britannia branch about 5 miles away so that will be very useful if required.0 -

Which opens up a second question - given that this is the same as the limit as at an ATM machine and that the PIN machine is used at the Britannia branch, does the withdrawal at Britannia reduce the amount that can be taken same-day from an ATM machine? (I'm guessing the answer would be the same as that for withdrawals from the Post Office).0 -

Correct - the system treats the Britannia branch as if it was a PO branch.Ethical moneysaver0 -
