We have just had a new hot water cylinder installed with all new pipes and radiators throughout the property. We now need a new sealed system boiler and we're about to start getting some quotes in for the work. The new boiler will be going in exactly the same place as the old one so it's just a straight swap.

I'm guessing a magnetic filter is also advised? The meter has just been earth bonded and the electricians have supplied power for the new boiler to be fitted; everything is there ready for it to be done.

What sort of prices should I be expecting? I'm based in the South East.

EDIT: Forgot to add that the current pipe from the meter to the boiler looks like it's 15mm so I'm guessing that'll need upgrading to 22mm? It's only about 2 meters or so in length.

    Labour would be between £300-£400
Then it will depend on your boiler choice.

Get at least 3 quotes and ask for them to be broken down so you can see what you are paying for.

Unfortunately straight swaps are a rarity. Unless your boiler is a condensing system boiler already. Is it definitely a system boiler you've got?

This is the best advice, always get at least 3 quotes from approved installers so you can compare what you are getting for your money. In terms of choice, every installer will recommend different brands but you cannot go wrong with an ecotec, I had mine installed last year and its been great so far.
