    Yes.

They have running water too in some places.

(To be fair, acceptance isn't quite as widespread as the UK, but you should be fine)

They have cash machines too :)

Their currency has 3 decimal places rather than two, and you can't take money out of the country.
To fx back into USD, EUR or GBP you need a receipt from the opening FX :)

It's a dreadful place to travel if you are female. I would never recommend it.

Take no notice of other remarks, some people have no sense of adventure, Tunisia has an awful lot to offer if you want to take in another culture and see some of the best Roman remains in the world rather than spend 2 weeks sat by the pool or on the beach , we go most years, yes you can get pestered but it is extremely unlikely it will go any further than this and to be fair it the same happens in Eygpt and to some extent Turkey.

As for your question, Cards are widely accepted, most towns and cities have ATMs the only time you may stuggle is away from the resorts, cash rules and often you will get a better deal in the Souks etc if you have stirling. I personaly use AMEX Travelers Cheques and not rely to much on cards, however Tunisia is catching up with the world of technology so these days you shouldn't have any problems.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world
