Any thoughts on this years scoring? From the results I've heard I think it's much the same as last year! Hope so! It would give everyone an insight as to which schools to apply for!0

Does anyone know where all the high scores seem to be? I have not heard of many in high teens or twenties. Our local grammar has said that 66% of the scores from children who sat tests there are above 100 so that seems quite high. It does seem that big majority of scores that I have heard are around 100 but what areas have the highest scores. Could be a good indicator what cut offs are going to be for schools. Local grammar is predicting around 100 which is higher than last year but lower than previous. this is all soo much fun!!0

I have just received an email from AQE telling me they do not give out raw scores but if I write to them formally they will look into the matter. What is that all about?:eek:0

Can't understand how confused mum got her scores via email and now it's top secret and only available in writing. You would think we weren't entitled to info on our own children. What is all this cloak and dagger stuff all about?! Has anyone else got info out of them?0

Beccamum dont understand why the security now. A few of the parents in our primary have all got them. Did you include all the relevant details.0 -
confusd mum, yes I included all the info as you said and still got this nonsense about security and not giving out raw scores. I explained that I knew they already had given out scores via the internet and I wanted my ds's towhich they said if I applied in writing they would see what they could do. They went on about how difficult it was to look up indiviual results, which I find most amusing in this day and age. I hardly think they have to trawl through all the exam papers to find his, surely it is just a matter of keying in his info? They seem to be making things as difficult as possible, did you get any of this?:(0

I was totally shocked when I read that anyone had managed to get a meaningful raw score out of them. I really thought all they would release was a number which would be impossible to equate to any recognisable format.
Could they be getting a bit edgy about quite how tightly packed the scores around 100 really are? Maybe that is why they haven't published quintiles. If a very high percentage of kids got exactly the same score it would be impossible to separate them into quintiles.
Someone could have a field day with this I suspect.0
