I've bought into a particular company a few times, at various prices, and had to sell some at a loss (needed the money - i know, i know) and since topped up some more, if i post figures could someone please work out what average price is, taking into consideration the loss too, so I know what i need to make on the rest of my shares, to be in profit??
Hope that made sense

Er well all you need to do is add up your shares, add up the total price you paid for them, then divide the total price by total shares...0
-
add up the total amount of money you spent on the shares ..call that C
add up the total number of shares you bought with that money and call that T
lets say you have sold S shares for a total amount fo money P
then to break even overall you need to sell the remaining shares at a cost per share of (C-P) / (T-S)0 -

Original £value of the portfolio minus £value of the latest disposal divided by the number of shares still held = share price needed to break even. Repeat after every disposal.0 -
Or input the transactions into timetotrade portfolio tool (it's free to use). You can set how you want the profit to be calculated using either hmrc share identification rules, pooling or 'absolute return' which takes into account dividends you may have received on the shares too.
