Did your printer come with any relevant free software? For example, my Epson Photo R300 came with a package called PhotoQuicker that makes this sort of job very easy.
Failing that, software such as Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop Elements should let you crop the picture to the portion you want to print, then allow you to set the print size to 10x15cm via the "Print...", "Page Preview..." or "Page Setup..." option (whichever applies for the software you're using) from the File menu.
Even Microsoft Paint that comes free with Windows XP is fairly capable in this area, although you can't directly crop an image as such. You have to use the selection tool (the dotted rectangle) to select (by clicking & dragging) the region you're interested in. Then you select Copy from the Edit menu, then File/New to create a new image. Finally, select Edit/Paste to get your selected portion into the new image. You may find that the new image's blank background is larger than the bit you pasted. If so, click on the blank background then drag the tiny blue dot at the background's bottom-right corner to meet up with the pasted image's bottom-right corner. You can then use the "Page Setup..." option from the File menu to size and align the image as required on to 10x15cm paper.0 -
