land registry - time scale

Hello everyone,
Ok moving into my first home and in a chain with 3 other people.
the last person in the chain needed to register there land for the first time and send off all the paper work off.
there then was a problem, on plan there is a footpath at the side of the property that is showing running into a bit of the garage.
so a surveyor had to go from land registry to measure up.
he went to the property last tuseday my question is how long does it usualy take from when the surveyor attends to have the paper work updated.
Many thanks.

Depends what needs doing. If your garage needs knocking down to allow free access along the footpath.....
Not clear from your post - where are you in the process? You're 'moving in'? So the purchase is Complete apart fro LR registration? How did you get this far without resolving the footpath issue?0 -
And whose surveyor is this? Maybe it's just HMLR's, verifying information on the ground as opposed to the deeds and OS.0
