Successful exercise plan for weight loss

Another thing with regards to exercise. It really is hard work and that's what often leads to people feeling that they've burnt off a lot more calories than they think. So do be very wary of eating more as a result of exercising as that's a very common trap to fall into.
Having a banana and a cereal bar that you wouldn't have eaten if you hadnt been exercising that day is needless extra intake of food - just try to manage your dietary habits so that you have something a couple of hours before working out.
A banana and a cereal bar are both full of sugar, which will spike your insulin. Insulin is what makes it soooo difficult to lose weight.
DH and I used to have a banana and/or a cereal bar if we needed a snack. No longer. No bananas or cereal bars in this house, nor any potatoes.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

I have recently lost stone by going to the gym three to four times a week doing a mixture of spin classes, yoga classes and cardio exercise on the treadmill and cross trainer.I have cut out snacking and eat a lot less bread.I have also been eating Weight Watchers meals for my evening meal. When I started I wasn't exactly overweight, but I have slimmed down a bit and feel fitter and trimmer. There isn't really any shortcut or easy way and you have to get a good balance of exercise and eating healthily. Good luck:)٩(•̮̮̃•̃)۶ ٩(-̮̮̃-̃)۶ ٩(●̮̮̃•̃)۶ ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ ٩(-̮̮̃•̃)۶ :EasterBun0

I think the stopping snacking and eating less bread will have had a considerable effect. I found a long time ago that anything with white sugar, white flour - highly-refined carbs in fact - was a no-no for me. It was all that stuff that I grew up on which could explain why I put on weight in my teens at the same time as being very active, as we were in those days - walking, cycling not as exercise but just to get somewhere. When we have bread now it has to be wholemeal. White bread - no thanks!Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
