Degree Via RDI Anyone?

I intend to recommend BSC Business Computing distance learning to a cousin of mine.
Couldn't they do some form of credit transfer and complete their degree with Open University? http://www3.open.ac.uk/credit-transfer/academic/comp000493.shtm
Admittedly with the new fees structure for enrollments next year this will cost about £5000 if they get credit for 240 points for the HND.0 -

Sorry this has taken me so long - I have answered the points below.
1. will I get the SAME qualification as those who went to Uni. Teeside?
Yes my certificate is from Teeside university not RDI.
2. I perceive majority of people who went to University of Teeside will have good grade as RDI will tend to keep their student within second class lower and pass grade no matter effort they put in the course. I have heard from friends that on-line distance learning students will indeed have bachelor degree but at the end of their course their Bachelor degree will be intentionally graded lower than their on - campus counterpart to avoid COMPETITION IN JOB MARKET.
I received a first class honours (over 70% average score) and the marking body is the same as if you studies at the campus. My work has to be moderated by Teeside University and sent to the board to approve the grade. It doesn’t make a difference if you study on-line or on campus they get treated the same
3. I am concerned about point 2 above. did you graduated with second class upper and Distinction. Is the program truly a Bachelor degree Program?. Thanks.
It’s the same award that Teeside (or any university) give out to campus students. I wouldn’t of even considered it if it wasn’t an official degree (which has allowed me to progress at work).
Hope that helps0 -
Hi
RDI has asked for a right of reply. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.
Hello, my name is Cristiana and I work for RDI.
I notice that you are unsure about RDI and the credibility of the degrees we offer.
All of the degrees RDI offers are UK university degrees, so when you enrol you become a student of the university you choose and graduate with their qualification. RDI helps you through the application process and because RDI is an online distance learning specialist, in some cases we assist the University to deliver the course to you. RDI has been helping students to succeed in their studies for the past 22 years, over 50,000 so far. We are a UK organisation based in Coventry and are well respected across the UK university sector as evidenced by the many universities we partner with.
I hope this addresses your concerns with respect to the credibility of RDI and the degrees it offers. If you have any more questions you can email me at cradulescu@rdi.co.uk

Waoh!
Could RDI then confirm if over the years their student ever score 2.1 or even first class?
