in Credit cards
hi im new to this forum need a bit of help as banks and other people arnt very helpful
basically i lived in spain for 5 years then moved back to the uk,when i came back to the uk i opened a halifax accoutn and they gave me a visa eletron i have been here for almost 2 years and had my account for almost 2 years am on the eletrical role how would i go about a credit card as the bank wont give me one and i aint to sure why i work full time have done the same job for almost a year and me and my fiance are renting and have been for almsost a year in the same propety as i do need a card as we have a baby on the way and need to but things such as prams cots etc
please help

A lot of banks require you to have been resident in the UK for the last 3years before they will let you have a credit card.
Can you not save up for the things you need for the baby before it arrives?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
well yeah we have been saving money its been quite tough but i would like a card for emegencies as the money we do save is for the baby if somethnig bad happend i.e boiler trouble etc we wouldnt be able to have it fixed when needed0
