Splashback ideas please

Can anyone recommend a cheap way to provide a splashback for a wash handbasin? Its just for the immediate area above the sink. I'm not sure I trust my tiling skills and wondered if there was some sort of sheet of something we could fix to the wall that would keep the worst of the splashes off it. It's a rented house so I don't want to spend a fortune.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you don't mind regular cleaning you could nip to a glass merchants and see if they have an off cut of tinted glass or maybe even mirror glass - get it cut to size, polish the edges and stick to the wall with some 'blobs' of silicone.0

no nails would be better than silicone,0

You don't need much in the way of tiling skills to fix a few tiles over a handbasin. You probably won't even need to cut a tile.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
dont use no nails/silocone it may show thro.if you need to stick use proper mirror/splashback sealant0
