Sorry for being a bit non-techie here.
Just bought a refurbished laptop from Argos eBay but notsure how to go about connecting it to the internet. Not got a wireless router yet but will soon, just want to use it in place of this pc at the mo.
Is this fairly straightforward?

Plug in the ethernet cable in to the laptop , and away you go.

Yes, it is just a matter of plugging the Ethernet cable in to the laptop.
