Switching suppliers - both accounts running?

I am in the process of moving from SP to Ovo (date of switch was advised as 1 Aug).

I have received my final gas bill from SP, however, I have still not received my final elec bill .... (they said to leave the dd in place until the switch had happened/final bill was received & cleared).

I know they can switch on different dates but will SP still collect my monthly dd?

As Ovo have now set up and will be collecting the dd for my new account, I'm really going to struggle to pay both.
